About Us

Gargi Knowledge Solutions was started with the intention of providing a much needed but scarce service in today’s world – career counselling and mentoring to individuals. Today’s world provides individuals with expansive knowledge where it is possible for everyone to be exposed to various career paths available, but what is not available is the guidance on finding the right career path for oneself. We at Gargi Knowledge Solutions have started this endeavour with the intention of providing solutions to these individuals who are unaware of their skills and abilities, uncertain about their career prospects or uninformed about suitable career paths.

We intend to reach out to all the students making the difficult decisions of choosing their future careers and provide them with an opportunity of making a more informed, suitable and advantageous choice.

 

About The Counsellor

Ms Tina Fernandes

Tina Fernandes has been active in the field of Psychology and Education over the past 35 years. She has taught, capacitated and upskilled a wide audience ranging from young children to young adolescents to adults. She has been a faculty of St. Agnes College Degree and P.G. College, Mangalore, St. Anns B.Ed. College, Secunderabad, Eva Mair Vocational College and St. Francis Degree and P.G. College where she was the Head of the Department of Psychology. She recently retired and has presently established a private counselling practice. She is also a consultant for ‘Teach for India’ and a visiting faculty to a number of institutions. She has been part of the Board of studies of several colleges and universities over the years. She is a member of the committee constituted by The Telangana State Council of Higher Education, to review and revise the UG psychology syllabus. She is has coauthored two books as well as taught in the EMRC countrywide classroom on TV.

Tina has done her doctoral research on the topic of “Stress and hardiness in Young Adolescents” from Mewar University, Rajasthan. She has published more than 35 papers in the areas of Positive, Developmental, Health and Educational Psychology in both national and international journals. She is a recipient of grants for several national research projects and has also received many teaching awards which recognize her innovative teaching methodology in the field of Education and Psychology.

Tina has through the span of her career been a trainer of trainers, a motivational speaker, a lecturer, an administrator, a counsellor and a life coach. She has mentored and guided countless batches of students whose research is contributing to shaping and influencing policy and implementation in the field of Social Science.

Dr Nandini Sanyal

Dr. Nandini Sanyal has over 10 years of teaching and research experience in the field of applied psychology. She is a post-graduate gold medallist and a doctoral degree holder from the University of Calcutta. Her doctoral thesis was in the area of attachment styles and coping strategies in adolescents. She is presently an assistant professor and post-graduate coordinator in the Dept. of Psychology, St. Francis College for Women. She also is a research supervisor for Ph.D. candidates at Mewar University. Over her 10 year career, she has supervised the dissertations of graduate and post-graduate students and has over 30 research publications in national and international journals. She has received several awards for her exceptional research work in the areas of positive, educational, health and organizational psychology.

Nandini has completed with distinction numerous teacher training courses, and is a highly accomplished teacher in the areas of positive psychology, research methodology, and behavioural statistics. She has been a visiting faculty at various institutions including Sweekaar Academy of Rehabilitation Sciences (Hyderabad), Indian Psychoanalytical Society (Kolkata), and Manovikas Kendra (Kolkata). She is also a member of the committee constituted by The Telangana State Council of Higher Education, to review and revise the UG psychology syllabus. In addition to this, Nandini has enabled several students to pursue their doctoral degrees at international universities. She has organized numerous workshops and guest lectures in psychology, and has voluntarily contributed as a psychometrician and trainer in renowned institutions.

Ms. Neha Agarwal

Ms Neha Agarwal has obtained her Undergraduate degree in BA. She completed her Masters in public administration from Osmania University in which she was the university topper. She was awarded a gold medal for her post graduate diploma in business management as well. She has also been awarded the prestigious national fellowship by UGC for her doctoral research work in the area of participatory development focusing on management of lakes in Hyderabad. Her academic inclinations has been evident from the beginning when she secured 100 percent marks in science in the CBSE tenth board exam and she has pursued her interests diligently till the completion of her PhD.

Neha has held teaching / faculty positions at various universities (both government and private) teaching papers in public administration, public policy and political science. She has worked in established universities such as Osmania University, BR Ambedkar Open University and emerging private universities working in niche areas such as Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar and University of Petroleum and Energy studies, Dehradun. She has taught under graduate and post graduate students and also coordinated extra programmes, such as, the UPSC (civil services) training for the students at UPES.

Ms. Agarwal is an academician who has extensive teaching and research experience which have provided her numerous opportunities to interact with students from different backgrounds. In all the positions that she has held, she has always guided and mentored students to visualize and execute their higher education and career plans. Her vibrant nature and goal oriented approach has been instrumental in her ability to provide able guidance to students and youth, confused about their career choices and career paths. She has always believed that careers are the cornerstones that ensure the youth are happy and productive members of society.

Dr. Swati Agarwal

Dr. Swati Agarwal completed her BA in Psychology and then went on to pursue her Masters in Clinical Psychology from SNDT University, Mumbai. During this period she interned at various established psychological centres becoming proficient in psychometric assessments and interventions for mental health problems children and adults. Her Doctoral degree in Psychology obtained from the University of Hyderabad was on the contributions of resilience towards children’s heath. During her doctorate she was awarded the prestigious National fellowship from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). She has conducted numerous studies on learning styles, psychosocial problems and wellbeing in adolescents which has been published in international and national journals.

Dr. Agarwal is an assistant professor at the Dept. of Psychology, St. Francis College for Women where she teaches post graduate students. She has also supervised the masters dissertations of over 20 students and presently has 10 students completing their masters research under her able guidance. She has undertaken numerous initiatives encouraging higher education and career advancement for students. She has always encouraged students to realize their potential by challenging them to overcome their limitations while providing constant support and motivation.
